Now, finally, on a sunny day, the direct rays beam in a tiny bit through a sliver of the northernmost, west-facing window of my home. The sun doesn’t even enter the room yet. It really only brightens the vertical piece of wood framing the window sill.
I swear the plants in that corner have perked up with the new reflected rays. I know, in four or five months I’ll be pulling the blinds and watering them just about daily (now is once every five or six days) to keep the heat from frying them.
I used to have a chair in that corner. I could sit in the sun indoors until the patio gets warmer. Now it’s plants. There may be some rearranging going on soon. Especially when it’s warmer out, I enjoy sitting with the sliding glass door open and feeling the breeze while reading in the sun or after dark.
